How we ensure your project runs smoothly
If your old kitchen is showing its age and you’re considering replacing it to create a new, bespoke, and more contemporary cooking and dining space, then it’s important that the process is simple, straightforward, and hassle-free from start to finish.
Replacing a kitchen always creates upheaval, and although we know you’ll be over the moon with the results once we’d completed the work, it’s a project that needs careful planning from the very start so as to avoid disruption as much as possible.
So, it’s reassuring to know that over the years we’ve created a proven process that will get the work done in a timely, cost-effective way with the minimum of inconvenience to you and anyone living with you.
And it all starts with a phone call or a visit to our showroom, where we’ll be able to give you some sound, free advice on the things you’ll need to consider as you begin to work towards designing your new bespoke kitchen.
The first step is for us to understand your vision and your requirements so we can help you to identify the kitchen that best suits your needs and budget.
To do that, we’ll take one of two approaches:
Consultation at our conveniently located London showroom
Depending on what you tell us in our initial chat, we may arrange a convenient time for you to come to our showroom and meet with one of our friendly expert designers. You should bring your room dimensions with you, along with any rough sketches or architectural plans you may have.
Our designer will go through your ideas and requirements with you and show you working examples of some of your options and/or share video and printed material to help you make initial decisions about layout and visualise your finished kitchen.
Consultation in your own homeSometimes it’s more practical for us to visit your home to see the space for ourselves, particularly when the configuration of the room or the functionality of the kitchen may be more complex.
Our designer will go through the same process with you in your home as they would here in our showroom, and if you also want to see working examples of some of our kitchen features and accessories, we can arrange for you to visit the showroom either before or after your consultation.
3D and plan presentation
Once you and your K&I Kitchens designer have talked through the various requirements you have for your new kitchen, they’ll translate your vision into a series of photorealistic images and plans that will inspire and excite you.
After you’ve had time to look at the computer-generated visualisation we provide, the designer will revisit the plans with you, looking at each element in detail to ensure we have captured everything you need and want.
If necessary, we’ll then produce further images and plans to incorporate any changes, and once we have a final agreement from you on the design, we’ll produce a quotation based on the plans we’ve presented to you.
Based on these images a quotation will be produced. We work closely with our clients until every small detail is defined.
When the plans and cost of your new bespoke kitchen are agreed, we’ll provide a straightforward contract for you to sign, which sets out the scope, terms, and cost of the project.
At this time, we will also ask you for a deposit and discuss the timelines for, and management of, the installation. Your kitchen installation will be carried out by our highly trained and expert fitters and overseen by a dedicated senior K&I Kitchens project manager.
Installation & Completion
Your kitchen installation will be carried out by our highly trained and expert fitters and overseen by a dedicated senior K&I Kitchens project manager.
At the end of the project, our installers will take you through your kitchen in detail to ensure you are happy that everything functions as it should and that your kitchen meets the design you agreed with our designer.
Only when you are happy that the work has been completed as agreed will we ask you to sign a Completion Statement.
Our promise to deliver only the best
Peerless Quality & Service
We pride ourselves on offering world class service and outstanding quality. And because we value our client relationships so highly, we work hard to ensure that we are always there to help if you need us – before, during and after installation.
We take our commitment to sustainability very seriously and we are working hard to reduce our footprint on the environment.
That’s why we demand the same level of commitment to sustainability from our suppliers. Throughout our supply chains, we ask for proof of their commitment to continuous improvement in environmental performance, information on the source of wood products and evidence of good forest management practice.
But we don’t stop there. We also operate a strict policy to source materials only from suppliers who are operating within the laws of their countries.
In all areas of logistics and manufacture we aim to adopt environmental standards that go above and beyond minimum legal requirements, and instead deliver the highest possible environmental standards.
