Design Details
Colour and history drive the character of this Bermondsey kitchen. Located in a Victorian paint factory conversion, the dark green satin lacquered finish was selected for its depth and subtlety – rich enough to anchor the large-scale room, yet refined enough to avoid overpowering it. The satin sheen catches light without high gloss, creating a surface that shifts gently with the time of day.
Handleless cabinetry keeps the lines clean and uninterrupted, allowing the colour and material choices to speak for themselves against the backdrop of the original building. The Okite Arabeskato Verde composite stone worktop echoes the green tones of the cabinetry while introducing its own veined pattern, tying the palette together with a natural, textured contrast. As a composite stone, it offers the visual character of natural marble with improved durability and lower maintenance – a practical choice for a working kitchen.
